Project Description

As past president of Rotary Club of West Palm Beach, Bill Bone remains an active member of this world-wide, volunteer-led, civic and charitable organization for business professionals.  Now a century old, Rotary brings together people in local clubs to network and share expertise, but it’s so much more: In total, Rotary’s one million-plus members around the globe have raised $1.7 billion to fight polio in the last three decades and have pledged to raise $150 million in the next three years.  Locally, the West Palm Beach Rotary maintains a grants program that supports students’ needs in local schools, including basics like eyeglasses and uniforms that are just unaffordable to too many families.  Placing “service above self,” the WPB Rotarians serve as reading buddies with local school kids, put together holiday gift baskets of food and toys for people in need, and continually strive to enhance community well-being.
