Bill Bone Tropical Triathlon

The Bill Bone Tropical Triathlon will be held at 7:15 a.m., Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Lake Worth Beach Park, 10 South Ocean Blvd., Lake Worth Beach, Florida 33460.

Now in its 25th year, it is the featured athletic event of Lake Worth Beach, bringing together seasoned tri-athletes and newcomers of all ages to compete outdoors. The race is a USA Triathlon-sanctioned sprint—that’s a 0.25-mile swim, followed by 13 miles on the bike, and capped by a 5K run.

But the course is what makes it so special: We start at dawn. We face east—toward the rising sun and the ocean. Then we head from the barrier island to the mainland via the Intracoastal bridge, tour quaint downtown Lake Worth Beach, and wind up with views of the local Snook Island nature preserve.

This event will benefit the award-winning Air Force JROTC program at Lake Worth Community High School? Students in the program have a higher graduation rate than the general student body, stay out of trouble, and volunteer their time for worthy local causes. In fact, did you know that students in the program volunteer to keep our racing community safe by serving as safety team members throughout the racecourse?
